We choose Ameela for use in the clinic to be in keeping with our 'only using premium products' ethos. Ameela isknown as a leading brand in the field of polynucleotides. One of the reasons we use Ameela® is the range they offer for different parts of the face, body and scalp.
Ameela® provides three formulations for specific areas and patient concerns. The range comprises of the following:
Ameela® Eyes is an advanced, highly moisturising gel formulated with natural polymerised polynucleotides. Its purpose? To target common eye concerns such as eyebags, dark circles, and periocular wrinkles. By thickening and restructuring the delicate tissue around the eyes, Ameela® Eyes effectively improves the appearance of superficial wrinkles. Unlike traditional fillers, this gel works by enhancing your skin's natural regenerative processes, providing a revitalised and youthful look.
Specifically designed for the face and jawline, this treatment improves skin tone and elasticity, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, and results in faster healing and tissue improvement as a post-surgery treatment.
Each Ameela® treatment is a highly specialised version based on polymerised polynucleotides, purified to be free from other components, such as proteins, that can trigger an immune response. This innovative approach to skin rejuvenation offers many benefits, including targeting free radicals and oxidative stress, triggering and improving tissue regeneration, restoring skin tone and elasticity, and increasing local vascularisation.
Polynucleotide treatments have a good safety profile for one. They might just be perfect for you If you are looking for a treatment that offers a safe and natural solution. We would say they are a gentler option to stimulate, rejuvenate, and generally give fantastic benefits to your skin.
Polynucleotide treatments utilise the power of naturally occurring nucleotides to promote skin regeneration and repair. These molecules are essential in supporting the skin's cellular renewal, providing a biocompatible and non-allergenic solution for comprehensive skincare.
Durable results are one key benefit. Polynucleotide treatments provide long-lasting results, with improvements in skin texture and firmness that can persist for up to 12 months following a complete treatment course. The treatment offers continual improvement with the regenerative capabilities of polynucleotides. This means that the skin continues to improve over time, offering progressive benefits long after your initial treatment.
This treatment is known for its safety so and provides a reliable path to skin rejuvenation without the concerns associated with more invasive procedures that purport to give similar results.
All treatments start with an initial consultation at Aesthetica Medical. Your skin and its condition get a thorough assessment. Our goal is to ascertain if polynucleotides are right for you. We offer all our patients a personalised treatment plan that meets with their expectations and personal skin goals.
Post-treatment advice will involve avoiding the sun, as with most treatments. Also please avoid makeup for 24 hours as advised by your practitioner. Leave the area alone as much as you can and avoid situations involving extreme heat for 2-3 days post-treatment.
We may suggest a follow-up appointment to see how your skin is responding to the treatment. We are always available to answer any questions you may have after your treatment.
You will be given detailed advice during your consultation, but in general, we advise attending your appointment free of products and makeup. Your skin will be cleansed and prepared.
We generally advise waiting 24 hours post-treatment. It may be possible to wear mineral-based makeup before then but please check with your practitioner on the day.
Most patients will be suitable to benefit from a polynucleotide treatment but there are certain medical conditions including current infections. Also, pregnancy and breastfeeding exclude patients from this treatment. Specific medical conditions that will not allow treatment to go ahead include unregulated type-1 diabetes, Hashimoto's disease, and cancer. Your medical history will be discussed during your consultation to confirm suitability.
Typically, 2 to 4 polynucleotide sessions, two to four weeks apart, is the optimal amount. This will vary from patient to patient. Some patients may see quick results where others may need more sessions. It depends on a few factors, including the extent of the issue we are looking to resolve.
