The CLENZIderm System is a very effective, prescription-strength treatment specifically designed to penetrate deep under the skin, treating acne at the source of the problem. If you are prone to acne and breakouts then the ClENZIderm System will help you get clear, hydrated and beautiful skin. It works to unclog pores and banish breakouts once and for all and is the only acne treatment system containing active ingredients that will transform your skin. 

The bacteria that causes acne (known as P. acnes) lives deep in the pores, which means it can be difficult to reach with over the counter products that treat only the surface of the skin. So, Obagi created the CLENZIderm System, which contains salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. These ingredients work to penetrate the deepest pores in your skin, but are still gentle on the surface. They work together to rejuvenate your skin by tackling the root of the problem, leaving you feeling younger, fresher and boosting with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET RESULTS?

    This can vary depending on the severity of the acne, however most patients see a difference in as little as 10-14 days. It is advised to use the products for at least 3-4 months for maximum results. 

  • HOW LONG WILL CLENZIDERM SYSTEM LAST?

    On average 3-4 months, however this depends on the usage of the products. If the products are used once a day, they will last approximately 4 months and if used twice a day on average 2 months. The usage and dose of each product is advised by our doctor, depending on the severity of the acne. 

  • WILL I BE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE PRODUCTS?

    Absolutely! Every single patient will receive a detailed skin regime, which outlines how and when to use the products. This is a bespoke treatment plan, after a thorough consultation and assessment with our doctor. We will then review you every two weeks, to ensure you are getting maximum results and can also adjust doses of each product if required. This is a very closely monitored treatment plan to help you achieve the best results. 

  • HOW CAN I ORDER THE PRODUCTS?

    As this is a prescription strength system, a consultation is required to assess your skin first and then it can be prescribed by our doctor if deemed suitable for you. This can be done virtually or in clinic. Virtual consultations involve you emailing clear pictures of your skin with your name and contact number and then we can arrange a telephone consultation with our doctor. The products can then be prescribed and ordered for next day delivery. 

  • ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

    You may experience dryness and flaking in the first few weeks. It is generally a well tolerated treatment with minimal side effects. Other side effects are discussed in detail in your consultation. 

  • DO I NEED TO USE ANY OTHER PRODUCTS WITH THE CLENZIDERM SYSTEM?

    As the products can dry out your skin, it is extremely important to use a good, water based moisturiser that will not clog your pores. We recommend using the Obagi Hydrate alongside the Clenziderm system, which is a light weight, non-comedogenic moisturiser and it is suitable for all skin types. 


    We also advise using SPF 50 every day to protect your skin from sun damage. Mineral based SPFs are better than chemical ones, as they are less irritant and do not clog your pores. We recommend the Obagi Sunshield Matte SPF 50, which is lightweight and great for acne prone skin. 


    Some patients may also benefit from incorporating a retinol in their regime, which can help with break outs and scarring.


  • CAN I USE THIS DURING PREGNANCY / BREAST FEEDING?

    Unfortunately, this system cannot be used during pregnancy due to the active ingredients, however there are other products which you can use to help control break outs. Contact us via email for more information. 

  • CAN THE PRODUCTS BE SOLD SEPARATELY?

    They can be sold separately depending on your skin concerns. The foaming cleanser is particularly effective for oily skin and can be used along side other products in the Obagi range if needed. The pore therapy can also be used as a toner alongside other products.
