PHOTOFABULOUS BEFORE AND AFTER

Prior to your treatment, we will have a consultation to discuss any necessary pre-treatment advice.

During this consultation, please inform us about any current medications, both prescription and over-the-counter.

Please also notify us of any upcoming aesthetic or medical treatments you have scheduled. This will help us ensure that there are no potential interactions or contraindications with your Photofabulous treatment.

Day of Treatment:

• Hydration: Please ensure your skin is well-hydrated leading up to your appointment.

• Skincare Products: It's important to avoid any skincare products that could potentially sensitize your skin before your treatment. Please follow your doctor’s guidance on which products to avoid.

• Medications: Please inform us about any medications you are currently taking.

• Makeup: Please arrive for your treatment with a clean face, free of any makeup.

After Photofabulous

Immediately after your Photofabulous treatment, your skin may feel warm. Your practitioner will help cool your skin to help with your comfort. You may experience a mild to moderate sunburn sensation for a few hours. Please make sure you are hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

During the initial 3-5 day healing period, it is vital that you avoid using any active skincare products on the treated area as these may cause irritation. This includes:

• All forms of retinol
  
• Hydroquinone
  
• Salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids
  
• Vitamin C
  
• Benzoyl Peroxide

Do not exfoliate as premature removal of dead skin may negatively affect your overall results.

DAY 1:

It is normal to experience mild swelling, particularly around the eyes. Wash your face twice  with a gentle cleanser, apply a gentle moisturiser as needed, and use a physical SPF 30 sunscreen. Mineral makeup can be used if you wish.

DAY 2:

Your skin may feel rough to the touch. Continue to wash gently twice daily, moisturise as required, and apply sunblock daily. Makeup can be used as desired.

DAY 3:

Mild flaking is expected and completely normal. Please avoid scrubbing or picking at the dry skin, as this may cause irritation and negatively impact your results. Continue with gentle cleansing twice a day, moisturising as needed, and daily sunblock. You may wear makeup if desired.

DAY 4:

Your skin may still feel dry, and mild peeling will likely continue. with a warm washcloth. Avoid any picking or scrubbing of the skin. Continue your routine of gentle cleansing twice daily, moisturising as needed, and applying sunblock.

DAY 5:

The mild peeling should be almost completely resolved. Your skin will feel softer, though it may still be sensitive to sunlight. It is important to continue using sunblock daily. You may resume using your active products (such as retinols, AHAs, Vitamin C, etc.) but please check with your practitioner.
