OBAGI-C RX SYSTEM IN LEEDS AND CHESHIRE

Obagi-C Cleansing Gel: Removes impurities and excess oil from the surface of the skin.

Obagi-C Toner: Assists in bringing the skin back to a baseline pH, preparing the skin for active ingredients.

Obagi-C Rx Clarifying Serum: Lightens and brightens the skin by increasing collagen production, reducing skin damage, controlling melanin and strengthening the barrier function of the skin.

Obagi-C Exfoliating Day Lotion: Designed to increase cell turnover and hydration within the epidermis for dry skin.

Obagi-C Rx Therapy Night Cream: Gradually reduces the appearance of dark spots using 4% hydroquinone, Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

Obagi Sun Shield Matte SPF50: Provides essential protection from UVA and UVB rays.

Typically, by about 4 weeks your skin tone and texture will improve, and the blemishes and age spots will lighten. However, it can take up to 8-12 weeks for optimum transformation results. We will monitor you every 2-3 weeks, and adjust the doses if required, to ensure you achieve optimum results. 

There is minimal down time with this system. Some redness and dryness can be expected in the initial 2-3 weeks of using the products. Other side effects are increased sensitivity to sun, blemishes or pigment changes.

Most people are suitable, however this will depend on your skin, your medical history and skin concern. Suitability will be determined by our doctor after a consultation. 

Once the Obagi-C Rx treatment regime is completed and the skin concern is successfully treated, we advise stepping down to a maintenance regime. 

The products containing active ingredients cannot be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, however some of the other products can be used. We can form a bespoke skin regime with specific products that are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The Obagi-C Rx system is designed to treat mild-moderate sun damage and hyperpigmentation with the prescription strength ingredients consisting of hydroquinone and vitamin C. It is a shorter regime, generally around 8-12 weeks with fewer products to use everyday.

The Obagi Nu-Derm system is a more extensive skin regime for skin that is showing signs of aging and photodamage, including age spots, rough skin, dull complexion, and moderate-severe hyperpigmentation and melasma. The key prescription strength ingredients in this system are hydroquinone and tretinoin. It is a longer regime over 16-18 weeks.
