Profhilo is a revolutionary, bioremodelling treatment, which contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid in the most pure form. It is not a dermal filler or skin booster. Profhilo significantly improves lines and wrinkles and deeply hydrates the skin, which is why it is known as the ‘injectable moisturiser’. It has a unique lifting and tightening capacity to remodel sagging and ageing tissue. Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. It acts as a hydrator rather than a filler, and is therefore fantastic for those with tired, dull and ageing skin, to provide a youthful appearance.

HOW IS THE TREATMENT ADMINISTERED?

The substance is injected in specific points, just below the skin’s surface in just two sessions over a period of 4 weeks. In the face for example, 5 injection points are required on each side of the face. Once injected, the product disperses quickly across the skin to instantly boost hydration, and consequently smooth fine lines and wrinkles, giving an overall improved skin texture.

  • WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?

    Side-effects include localised swelling at the injection points, bleeding and less commonly bruising and infection. 

  • WHAT IS THE DOWN TIME?

    Usually minimal, however the injection points can be raised initially after treatment, which takes a few hours to subside. 

  • HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED TO SEE RESULTS?

    Profhilo requires two treatments four weeks apart, for optimum results. For a mature client with significant skin laxity and sagging tissue, a third treatment may be required. For maintenance, one session is advised every 3 months or two sessions every 6 months. 

  • HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

    Patients can expect increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of the skin for up to six months.

  • IS IT PAINFUL?

    It is generally a well tolerated and comfortable procedure – the most you will feel is a pin-prick. 

  • WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PERFECT PEEL?

    Profhilo is generally good for for patients who are experiencing the first signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, fine lines, or loss of firmness. It is also be beneficial for people who are not happy happy with their skin texture, or who have dry or dehydrated skin. It can also be used as a preventative measure for younger patients.
